This bearing housing was very badly worn on both the
inside and outside. It was in urgent need of repair so that
it could be put back in service and cause minimum
disruption to the normal operation of the plant.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The bearing was repaired without
it having to be dismantled. The roller
bearing was fixed in the housing.
All gaps were sealed with Metal-
Tech RG. After these were sealed,
Metal Tech FG was injected with a
cartridge between the roller bearing
and the bearing housing. After only
a few hours the bearing housing
was back in service.
