The
housing, impeller and castings of
this furnace exhaust gas ventilator at theCorus plant in
Ymuiden had
been earmarked for refurbishment.
Corus required a high temperature resistant
coating, which would withstand wet air at a
temperature of 120-150°C.
 The internal components of
the exhaust gas ventilator were abrasive blast
cleanedto a minimum industry
standard of Sa2½, ensuringall loose abrasive dust and
debris was vacuum cleanedaway. Cerami-Tech HTX was
then applied.Cerami-Tech HTX is a two
component, fluid grade, ceramic-enhanced epoxy
resurfacing compound that has been specially developed
for high temperature
immersion conditions, making it
ideal for resurfacing pumps,
impellers, valves, tube sheets, water boxes and heat
exchangers.
